Direct Support Professional (Full-Time and Part-Time)

HBD is looking for qualified Direct Support Professionals to work with adults and children with developmental disabilities and intensive behavior challenges in many of our residential sites located in Broward County, Florida. Openings are available on days, evenings, overnights and weekends.

•Supervision and support to ensure health and safety
• Skill training, development, and support in daily living activities
• Community integration
• Behavioral interventions
• Medication dispensing

• One year experience in the field of developmental disabilities, or social/human services
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual (Spanish, Creole) is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and push, pull, reach, bend, and squat
• Must have reliable transportation

Supervisor (Full-Time, Second Shift): Supervisor Positions Are Currently Filled

HBD is looking for experienced supervisors to be responsible for direct support and supervisory functions of group homes for adults and children with developmental disabilities and intensive behavior challenges located in Broward County Florida.

• Staff supervision and training
• Monitor implementation of daily activities, skill training, and behavior support plans
• Monitor documentation
• Plan and assist with community activities
• Ensure environmental safety

• At least 2 years college education in social services or related field (work experience can be substituted for college education)
• 3 years direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, with at least 1 years experience in a leadership/supervisory role.
• Valid drivers license
